Two youth are facing charges relating to the theft of a vehicle and failing to stop for police last night.

Shortly after 7:00 p.m., February 25, 2025, it was reported to police that a vehicle was stolen from the 2300 block of Avenue C North. At approximately 8:45 p.m., police located the vehicle and attempted a vehicle stop in the area of Campus Drive and Diefenbaker Court however the driver refused to stop. Stop sticks were deployed however were unsuccessful. The vehicle eventually struck a snowbank and came to a stop. Two females, both 16-years-old, were taken into custody. There were no reported injuries.

The passenger is charged with Theft of Motor Vehicle, and the driver is charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000.
