A male is facing charges after he was stopped with open alcohol while riding a bike on Saturday morning.

Shortly after 10:00 a.m., May 2, 2026, officers on patrol in the area of 3rd Avenue North and 25th Street East, observed a male holding an open bottle of alcohol while riding a bicycle. While the male was being taken into custody for public intoxication, officers found him to be concealing a can of bear spray in his waistband.

The 40-year-old male was charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Obstruction, as well as a summary offence ticket for having Open Liquor in a Public Place. (Court Info # 991337645)
