Three people are facing charges in connection to two separate evade police incidents over the weekend.
(26-66036): At approximately 8:15 p.m., May 15, 2026, officers observed a grey Toyota Corolla known to be stolen at the intersection of 19th Street West and Ave T South. When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed before striking another vehicle at the intersection of 22nd Street West and Avenue K North. The suspect vehicle rolled onto its roof and the two occupants were taken into custody without further incident.
A 17-year-old female and a 24-year-old male are both charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000. The female faces additional charges of Dangerous Driving and Evade Police. (Court Info # 991339174, 991339177)
(26-67306): At approximately 4:15 p.m., May 18, 2026, patrol officers attempted to stop a grey Chrysler Pacifica in the 400 block of Avenue X South after investigation showed the license plate did not match the vehicle. The vehicle fled, but the Saskatoon Police Air Support Unit followed it to Duck Lake, SK where the occupants stopped and were seen getting into another vehicle. Shortly before 7:00 p.m., members of the RCMP took three occupants into custody.
A 30-year-old man was transported to SPS Detention and is charged with Evade Police, Dangerous Driving, and Operating a Conveyance While Prohibited (x2). (Court Info # 991339317)
