Arrests - Stolen Auto Investigation - 22nd Street And Witney Avenue

Two women are facing charges after being found in possession of a stolen vehicle, drugs, and weapons.

At approximately noon, May 16, 2026, an officer on patrol spotted a Ford Escape being driven in an erratic manner at 22nd Street and Witney Ave. As he followed the vehicle, the officer learned that it had been reported stolen from Prince Albert. The vehicle came to a stop in a parking lot in the 500 block of Avenue X South. One woman was taken into custody at the scene. A second woman attempted to flee on foot but was located a short distance away and detained. They were found to be in possession of brass knuckles, a knife and an expandable baton. A search of the Ford Escape resulted in officers locating bear spray and a sawed-off shotgun, along with 105 grams of Methamphetamine.

The two, a 29-year-old woman from the Muskoday First Nation and a 26-year-old from Sandy Bay, are facing more than 25 charges including; Impaired Driving, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Weapons Dangerous to the Public Peace and Possession of Methamphetamine. The 29-year-old was also wanted on outstanding warrants.
