One man was arrested following an evade police incident yesterday evening.

At around 8:00 p.m. on May 24, 2026, police observed a vehicle travelling on Idylwyld Drive North into oncoming lanes at an excessive rate of speed. Police attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle; however, the vehicle did not stop and fled north out of Saskatoon. Officers maintained efforts to stop the vehicle as it continued to flee; damaging fences and driving through fields before ultimately becoming stuck in the mud. The driver was then arrested without further incident.

As a result, the 31-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with dangerous driving, evading police, and driving while prohibited.
