Saskatoon Police arrested one man and seized a pellet gun following a report of a physical altercation involving a weapon Wednesday afternoon.

On May 27, 2026 at approximately 4:10 p.m., police received a report of a physical altercation in progress in the 1500 block of 20th Street West. It was reported that one of the people involved had a gun and was now walking northbound on Avenue P from 20th Street.

Officers located a male matching the suspect description walking near 22nd Street and Avenue S and he was arrested inside an apartment building shortly after. Officers also located a handgun later determined to be a pellet gun.

Police attempted to locate any victims related to the incident but were not successful.

As a result of this incident, the 28-year-old man has been charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order (x3).
