A woman has been arrested and is facing charges following a break and enter in the early morning hours of Sunday.
On May 31, 2026 at approximately 3:00 a.m., police were called to the 300 block of Avenue N South for a reported break and enter to a residence.
Officers arrived on scene and observed the front door to the residence was insecure. Officers setup a perimeter around the residence before entering with the assistance of a member of the Canine Unit and a Police Service Dog. The female suspect was arrested inside the residence shortly after and was transported to the hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a dog bite.
As a result, the 33-year-old woman has been charged with break and enter to commit theft under $5000.
