Arrest - Traffic Stop - Drug Trafficking - Latrace Road And 33rd Street

Saskatoon Police has arrested one man who is now facing drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop where methamphetamine was located.

On June 2, 2026 at approximately 11:40 a.m., police were in the area of Latrace Road and 33rd Street when a SUV drove by with a male driver. Upon further investigation, the officer learned that a male driver of the same vehicle in a previous incident had a suspended driver’s license and warrants for his arrest.

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Shea Crescent, however, the male driver exited the vehicle and began to walk away. At this point, it was believed the driver was the same man with outstanding warrants.

The man began to resist arrest and run away from an officer multiple times before he was eventually taken into custody without further incident. Upon a search of the vehicle the man was driving, police located a bag containing suspected methamphetamine and a scale.

As a result, the 45-year-old man has been charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and resisting arrest. He was also arrested on his outstanding warrants.
