Arrests - Drug Trafficking Investigation - 100 Block Salisbury Drive

Two people are facing charges related to the trafficking of fentanyl powder following an investigation by the SPS Drug Unit.

In June, the SPS Drug Unit began an investigation into two individuals who were believed to be trafficking fentanyl powder. On July 21, 2019, the individuals were arrested from a vehicle parked at a residence in the 100 block of Salisbury Drive. In total police seized 113.17 grams of fentanyl powder (packaged for distribution), $400 in cash, multiple cell phones, an expandable baton, scales and packaging consistent with the trafficking of drugs.

A search warrant was also executed at the residence on Salisbury Drive and Police located two handguns and ammunition, a conducted energy weapon, scales and packaging consistent with the trafficking of drugs.

The 27-year-old man and 23-year-old woman are facing charges of;

  • Trafficking Fentanyl
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000
  • Careless Storage of Firearm and Ammunition (x2)
  • Possession of Dangerous Weapon (x3)
  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm (x3)
  • Possession of Restricted Firearm with Ammunition (x2)
  • Possession of Weapon Obtained by Commission of Offence (x2)

The woman faces an additional charge of Possession of Methamphetamine.
