Vehicle Collision - 19th St. And Ave

The 32 year old man involved in a collision at the intersection of 19th Street West and Avenue F South, died of his injuries in hospital on August 1, 2019.  Members of the Collision Analyst Unit are in the process of completing their investigation into the collision.

Traffic restrictions have been lifted at the intersection of 19th Street West and Avenue F South. Members of the Collision Analyst Unit had been working at the scene of a collision involving four vehicles.  The incident remains under investigation.

A 32 year old man is suffering from life-threatening injuries following a collision involving four vehicles this morning.  Two others, a second man and a woman, are suffering from non life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospital by Medavie Health Services.

Members of the Collision Analyst Unit remain on scene conducting their investigation however it appears one vehicle involved may have disobeyed a stop sign at a high rate of speed, causing a second vehicle to collide with it.  Two other vehicles were also struck following the initial collision.  Members of the Saskatoon Fire were required to extricate one of the victims. 

Motorists are asked to avoid travel in the area until the scene is cleared. 

Saskatoon Police Service is currently investigating a collision which occurred at the intersection of 19th St. West and Ave F South. Police are asking the public to take an alternate route as the intersection is closed off to traffic.

More details will become available as the investigation continues.
