Off-duty SPS Member Assists In Recovering Stolen Bicycle - 600 Block Idylwyld Drive North

A woman is facing charges after an off-duty police officer saw her with a bicycle he knew to be stolen.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., July 30, 2019, an off-duty police officer observed a woman in possession of a bicycle that had been reported stolen earlier this month. On-duty Patrol officers responded and arrested the woman in the 600 block of Idylwyld Drive. Upon being taken into custody, she was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

The 35-year-old woman is charged with Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000 and Possession of Methamphetamine.
