Charges Laid - Single Vehicle Collision - Arlington Avenue And Main Street

A Saskatoon man is facing impaired driving charges following a single vehicle collision early this morning.

At approximately 2:20 a.m., August 8, 2019, Patrol officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision at the intersection of Arlington Avenue and Main Street. It was reported that the driver of the vehicle fled on foot. A canine track was successful in locating the driver in the area of Ling Street and McDonald Crescent. The driver was transported to hospital for treatment of injuries consistent with a dog bite.

A 26-year-old male who was a passenger in the vehicle, was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

In addition to alcohol, speed is also believed to be a factor in this incident.

The 26-year-old driver is facing charges of Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm, Refusal, and Breach of Undertaking.
