Three people are in custody today after refusing to stop for Police.

At approximately 1:00 a.m., August 21, 2019, Patrol members observed a suspicious black Honda Accord parked near Avenue I North and 33rd Street West. Further investigation found that the incorrect licence plate and the car had both been reported stolen. There were three people inside the vehicle and, upon seeing Police, the vehicle fled and began driving erratically. It was observed parking moments later, and two people were seen fleeing on foot near Avenue X South and 23rd Street West. A 32-year-old man was located sleeping in the car and was subsequently arrested. The female suspect was arrested near Avenue X and 22nd Street West and the third suspect, a 15-year-old male, was arrested nearby, after a brief altercation.

In total, Police seized three prohibited firearms and ammunition, three stolen license plates, a hatchet, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

A 15 year old male is facing 24 firearm-related charges and Breach of Probation.

A 17 year old female is charged with Dangerous Driving, Evade Police, Possession of Dangerous Weapon and Possession of Methamphetamine.

The 15 year old and 17 year old, as well as a 32 year old man, are all charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000 and Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000 (x3).
