Two people are in custody today in connection to a stolen vehicle.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., August 21, 2019, Saskatoon Police observed a brown Chrysler PT Cruiser without a licence plate. It was travelling on Walmer Road near Avenue H North. Upon seeing Patrol members, the driver fled the scene at a high rate of speed. Officers relocated the vehicle, abandoned in the 400 block of Avenue K North and found that it was stolen. The Air Support Unit (ASU) had located the suspects walking in the 400 block of Avenue J North. Ground units were directed to the suspects’ location where they were taken into custody without incident.

The suspected male driver was found to be in possession of the stolen car keys and methamphetamine. The 25 year female passenger was arrested for public intoxication and will be released without charges.

A 24 year old man is charged with Possession of Property Under $5000 and Possession of Methamphetamine.
