Members of the Saskatoon Police Collision Analyst Unit are investigating an early morning collision involving two vehicles and a cyclist.

At approximately 3:00 a.m., August 26, 2019 Police were called to the intersection of Campus Drive and College Drive. The vehicles involved, two marked University of Saskatchewan Protective Services patrol vehicles, were reportedly pursuing the cyclist following a bicycle theft on campus when the collision occurred. The male cyclist was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Preliminary investigation shows that one of the cars struck the cyclist and then collided with the second car.

The intersection was closed while the investigation was being conducted before reopening at approximately 7:00 a.m.
