Breach/K9 Arrest - 2300 Block Of McClocklin Rd

Saskatoon Police arrested a man yesterday afternoon, after he refused to stop for Police.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., September 22, 2019, officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Korol Mews for a report of a disturbance. Police learned that the 29 year old male suspect had a warrant for his arrest. Upon arrival, officers located the complainant who directed them to a room in the house. As officers began making contact with the suspect, he exited the home from a window and fled on a bicycle. A Canine officer located the suspect biking through a nearby park while shouting for help. He disobeyed officer commands and refused to stop. The suspect abandoned his bike and attempted to gain access to an occupied parked vehicle, but was unsuccessful.

The suspect was apprehended with the help of a Police Service Dog (PSD) in the 2300 block of McClocklin Road. He was transported to hospital with minor injuries from the dog bite. He was seen by a Justice of the Peace before being taken into custody by Corrections.
