Saskatoon Police are investigating after a woman was unlawfully confined to an apartment suite on Tuesday.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., September 24, 2019, Patrol officers were dispatched to an apartment suite in the 400 block of Avenue B North to check on the welfare of a woman after it was reported she may have been unlawfully confined. Upon arrival, Officers located a woman who had been assaulted. The 20-year-old sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.

A 20-year-old woman was arrested from inside the suite without incident. She has been charged with Assault and Unlawful Confinement. (Court Info #: 991105897).

A third woman has also been charged but she fled the scene before Police could arrest her.

The SPS Guns & Gangs Unit is continuing to investigate.
