One Arrested - Stolen Auto/Robbery/Methamphetamine Possession - 100 Block Wentworth Cres.

A 22 year old woman is in custody following a street robbery and an incident where a stolen vehicle evaded police before striking a tree.

At approximately 3:00 a.m. October 7, 2019, officers on Patrol noticed a Chrysler minivan at 33rd Street West and Edmonton Avenue. They were able to determine it was the same vehicle that had been previously reported stolen and had been used in an earlier robbery.

Officers began following the vehicle as it made its way through residential areas at low speeds. A traffic stop was attempted, however the female driver refused to stop and began evading police before driving onto a lawn and striking a tree in the 100 block of Wentworth Crescent. She was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a knife and machete.

She is now facing charges of robbery, possession of stolen property, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace (x2), possession of methamphetamine, dangerous driving and evade police.
