One man is in custody today in connection to a shoplifting incident.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., October 7, 2019, Patrol officers were dispatched to a drug store in a mall in the 100 block of Primrose Drive for a reported shoplifter. A Loss Prevention Officer (LPO), informed Police that the male suspect had been seen attempting to steal items before being detained by the LPO. The suspect attempted to use a fake name when speaking to Police. Once his identification was confirmed, he was arrested on outstanding warrants from Saskatoon as well as Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine, numerous identification documents not belonging to himself and break and enter tools.
A 32 year old man from Weyakwin, Saskatchewan is charged with Theft, Possession of Methamphetamine, Obstruction, Possession of Break and Enter Tools, Possession of Stolen Identification (x4) and Breach of Undertaking (x4).
