At 1:13 a.m. today, police were called to the 500 block of Av I S in response to a vehicle alarm sounding. A vehicle had been entered and the suspect vehicle, an older Jeep Cherokee was seen leaving the area. Police observed the Jeep in the area of Av C and 36 St. A traffic stop was attempted but the driver fled from police. Tire deflation devices were used deflating three of the tires. The driver continued to evade police making his way to Clarence Av and Wilson Cr where the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. A K9 track was attempted with negative results.
