A 29 year old man and a 29 year old woman are facing charges following an investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service Drug Unit into methamphetamine trafficking.

On October 17, 2019, detectives in the Saskatoon Police Service Drug Unit witnessed activity consistent with illegal drug transactions in the 500 block of 5th Avenue North. A 29 year old male was arrested at that time and was found to be in possession of 0.8 grams of methamphetamine, bear spray and $3660 in Canadian currency. A search warrant was subsequently executed at an apartment in the 500 block of 5th Avenue North. A 29 year old female was arrested at that residence. Inside the residence detectives seized an additional 696.5 grams of methamphetamine and drug related paraphernalia.

The man is now facing charges of Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Breach of a Court Order.

The woman is facing a charge of Trafficking in Methamphetamine.

Both are expected to appear in court on the morning of October 18, 2019.
