A man is in custody after Police were called to assist an outside agency yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 1:00 p.m., October 23, 2019, Police were called to a residence in the 100 block of Manning Crescent to assist the Sheriff's Officer in the eviction of a tenant who had illegally reconnected the house to power. There was also information that the man had firearms inside the residence. As a result, the Tactical Support Unit was deployed to assist responding Patrol members. At approximately 3:15 p.m., the suspect exited the house and was taken into custody without incident. A number of firearms were located in the residence.

He was believed to be under the influence of methamphetamine.

The 25-year-old man has been charged with Mischief Under $5000 and Theft under $5000.
