A man is facing charges after Police responded to a report of a violent domestic dispute yesterday morning.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., October 23, 2019, Patrol officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at an apartment in the 500 block of Avenue X South. Upon arrival, Officers could hear a woman in distress inside the apartment. Prior to Police entering the suite, the male fled through a window.

A Canine Unit successfully tracked the suspect to the 300 block of Vancouver Avenue South where he was taken into custody. He was transported to hospital for treatment of injuries consistent with a dog bite.

The 28-year-old female victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A 37-year-old man is charged with Assault with a Weapon, Unlawful Confinement, Utter Threats to Cause Death, Breach of Probation and Breach of Undertaking. (Court Info # 991109215)
