Police seized a firearm yesterday afternoon, following a report of found property.

At approximately 4:15 p.m., November 4, 2019, Patrol officers were dispatched to an apartment building in the 300 block of Keevil Crescent. A resident reported having heard a noise and observed a backpack lying on the grass near a fence. Two males were seen walking away. They were dressed in all black with their hoods up. Upon retrieving and inspecting the backpack, residents observed a firearm inside and called Police. They also observed what were believed to be the same two males return, look over the fence and again, walk away.

Officers inspected the backpack and located and seized a sawed-off shotgun in pieces and various types of ammunition.
