A man is in custody today following a break and enter incident early this morning.

Patrol officers were dispatched to a residence in the 3100 block of Laurier Drive at approximately 12:40 a.m., November 6, 2019, for a reported domestic dispute in progress. A man had reportedly broke into the home with a woman inside. There were court orders for the man not to be there. Upon arrival, Police observed a shattered window the man had gained entry from. He was found attempting to hide from Police and refused to comply with commands. He became extremely combative, striking an officer several times and attempting to choke him. He was taken into custody without further incident, after additional officers arrived. He was found in possession of methamphetamine.

A 26 year old man from Duck Lake, SK is charged with Break and Enter, Assault a Peace Officer, Possession of Methamphetamine, Breach of Probation and Breach of Conditions (x3).
