Major Crime investigators have further charged another 15 year old male with Second Degree Murder in the death of a 15 year old male that occurred on November 2, 2019. The male was arrested without incident upon turning himself in to the Police later this afternonn. The accused will appear in Provincial Court tomorrow, November 7th, 2019 at 9:30 am.
Once again, Investigators with the Major Crime Section want to thank the public for their assistance in this matter.
This is the 15th homicide in Saskatoon this year.

Major Crime investigators have further charged a 17 year old male with Second Degree Murder and Breach of Undertaking in the death of a 15 year old male that occurred on November 2, 2019. The accused will appear before a justice of the peace this evening.

Major Crime investigators have now charged a 15 year old male with Second Degree Murder, Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited and Breach of Probation in the death of a 15 year old male that occurred on November 2, 2019. The accused will appear in provincial court today, November 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
Major Crime investigators with the assistance of the Guns and Gangs Unit, Forensic Identification, Tech Crimes, Integrated Intelligence, the Drug Unit and Patrol, executed search warrants at three residences. The first search was conducted last night, November 5, 2019 in the 100 block of Weyakwin Drive, followed by two others early this morning in the 300 block of O’Regan Crescent and the 400 block of Witney Avenue South. Two teen males were arrested at the time and physical evidence in relation to this homicide was gathered. The second teen arrested remains in custody as the investigation continues.
An autopsy was completed on Monday, November 4, and the cause of death was determined to have been from a gunshot wound. Investigators have worked diligently over the past number of days, since this incident occurred, and want to thank the public for their assistance in this matter.
Investigators do not believe that this incident was random in nature. Further information will be released as it becomes available.

Saskatoon police received a 911 call at 11:52 am this morning regarding a teenage male in medical distress at a business in the 2300 block of Arlington Avenue. Police, Fire and Medavie services responded and attempted life saving measures but were unsuccessful. SPS Major Crimes and Forensic Identification Services were called out and are continuing with the investigation.
