Arrest- Evade Police/Stolen Vehicle

A 25 year old Saskatoon female is facing a number of charges following an incident in which a vehicle refused to stop for police.

At approximately 11:38p.m., November 7, 2019, Patrol Officers spotted a stolen Acura RDX at Ave G N/36th St W. When they attempted to conduct a traffic stop the vehicle fled, evading the officers. Officers disengaged at this time.

The vehicle was seen several more times throughout the night driving at high rates of speeds and disregarding traffic signals. At 1:03a.m., November 8, 2019, a tire deflation device was successfully utilized at Ruth/Lorne Ave before the vehicle came to a stop at Lansdowne Ave/Ruth Street. The female driver of the vehicle attempted to flee on foot before being apprehended by a member of the Canine Unit. The female suspect suffered minor dog bite injuries and was taken to the hospital for stitches.

The 25 year old female is now facing charges of dangerous driving, evade police, possession of stolen property over $5000, weapon dangerous, carry concealed weapon, breach of Probation, and had a warrant for being unlawfully at large. She will be appearing before a Justice of the Peace tonight.
