A 38 year old Saskatoon man was safely taken into custody just after 10p.m. on November 23, 2019. He is facing 2 charges of assault with a weapon and will be appearing before a Justice of the Peace on November 24.
The Saskatoon Police would like to thank the public for avoiding the area while officers worked on a peaceful resolution. All traffic restrictions have been lifted.

The Saskatoon Police are currently at an address in the 200blk 1st St E dealing with a subject in a house possibly armed with a knife. Members of the Tactical Support Unit, Crisis Negotiators, K-9, and patrol members with be in the area.
The police ask that the public avoid this area including vehicle and pedestrian traffic so that emergency personnel are able to move around and ensure public safety.
An update will be provided once the situation has been resolved.
