As we approach the busy holiday shopping season, the Saskatoon Police Service wishes to remind people to keep theft prevention in mind.

An increased number of people will be frequenting shopping centres, grocery stores and local businesses in search of gifts and necessities for the approaching holidays. Please remember to lock purchases in the trunk of your vehicle and out of plain view for would-be thieves to act on crimes of opportunity.

To help further remind people, divisional officers and beat officers will be handing out a physical reminder to shoppers they encounter in malls or in the downtown core. A copy of the placard is attached.

Anyone who observes suspicious activity is encouraged to report it to Police at 306-975-8300.
