One man was arrested over the weekend following a report of a suspicious vehicle.
At approximately 4:30 a.m., December 7, 2019, Patrol officers were dispatched to a car dealership in the 3700 block of Idylwyld Drive North. Officers with the Air Support Unit (ASU), quickly located the reported suspicious vehicle, a Ford Bronco, being driven in a dangerous manner. The suspect vehicle was observed travelling south on Idylwyld Drive in the northbound lanes of traffic at a high rate of speed. ASU directed ground units to a fast-food restaurant in the 100 block of 33rd Street West where the driver abandoned the vehicle. Patrol members arrested the suspect attempting to hide behind a bin in an alley. A stolen licence plate was located on the vehicle.
A 56 year old Saskatoon man is charged with Dangerous Driving and Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000. He was also found to have numerous outstanding warrants.
