Two men are facing drug-related charges after they were arrested yesterday afternoon by the SPS Drug Unit.
At approximately 2:00 p.m., February 19, 2020, members of the SPS Drug Unit observed activity consistent with drug trafficking and conducted a traffic stop in the area of Circle Drive and Idylwyld Drive. Investigators arrested a 36-year-old man and seized $1300 in cash, three cell phones and 38.1 grams of crack cocaine packaged for distribution.
A short time later, at approximately 3:40 p.m., a second male was arrested from a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Junor Avenue. The 32-year-old had $200 in cash, 0.3 grams of soft cocaine, 0.3 grams of fentanyl powder and two cell phones in his possession.
As a result of the arrests, a search warrant was executed at an apartment in the 3100 block of 33rd Street West. Investigators seized an additional $15,230 in cash.
The 32-year-old man is charged with Possession of Cocaine, Fentanyl and Proceeds of Crime Over $5000 (Court Info # 991121816). The 36-year-old man is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Proceeds of Crime Under $5000 (Court Info # 991121818).
