On February 27, 2020 at 8:21 p.m., the Saskatoon Police responded to a call at 33rd Street and Avenue B where 5 youth bear sprayed and spit at a transit driver. Officers located the 5 youth a short distance away and were taking the suspects into custody when a female sprayed the officer in the face with bear spray. The two females were arrested at scene and the males ran from police but were apprehended by additional officers arriving at scene.

The 16 year old female along with 4 other youths are in custody facing numerous weapons related charges and assault police officer.
