The Saskatoon Police Service is cautioning drivers not to leave keys in vehicles. As we head into a forecasted cold snap, the need to warm-up vehicles is apparent, but we want you to do it safely.

If you leave your vehicle idling outdoors unattended, ensure the keys are not inside and the doors are locked. If this is not possible, do not leave your vehicle unattended while warming it up. If proper precautions are not taken, this could present a crime of opportunity for thieves. These simple steps can help you avoid becoming a victim of crime.
