Fraud Prevention Month

As part of Fraud Prevention Month, the Saskatoon Police Service has a number of initiatives and events planned in an effort to educate and prevent people from falling victim to fraud in the future.

In addition to presentations at various locations across Saskatoon, the Economic Crime Unit is also offering citizens an opportunity to drop off personal documents at a safe location to be shredded. Three large, locked bins will be placed in the SPS headquarters lobby for the entire month of March.

Then, on March 31, the Electronic Recycling Association will be at the SPS with equipment to properly destroy personal electronics, like hard drives, in a a safe and secure manner.

More details and information will be posted to the SPS social media channels throughout the month and citizens are encouraged to share and be part of the conversation.
