Two Saskatoon men were arrested yesterday in relation to bear spray.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., March 2, 2020, Patrol officers observed a wanted man near 25th Street East and 3rd Avenue North. He was arrested without incident on five outstanding warrants. During his arrest, Police located methamphetamine, brass knuckles and bear spray in his backpack.

The 29 year old man is charged with five weapons-related offences and Possession of Methamphetamine.

At approximately 8:15 p.m., March 2, 2020, Patrol officers were dispatched to a restaurant in the 2200 block of 22nd Street West. Initial reports stated a man carrying bear spray was inside of the business. Upon arrival, Police observed the male suspect inside. The can of bear spray was located and seized from his backpack. Police also seized a knife from the suspect’s possession.

The 36 year old man is facing two weapons-related offences. He was also found to have numerous outstanding warrants.
