At 10:43 p.m. last night, a Saskatoon Police Service K9 member observed a suspicious vehicle with a license plate that did not match the vehicle.
The vehicle fled when the officer attempted to pull it over. The Air Support Unit was able to follow the vehicle and advise ground units of the suspect's direction of travel. The suspect drove in a circuitous route ending up in the 1800 block of Av D, N. There, two K9 officers were able to arrest of the suspect.
A 30 year old man is facing charges of possessing stolen property valued over $5000, failing to stop for police, dangerous operation of a vehicle, possessing a weapon dangerous to the public. He also had numerous warrants for his arrest from the Prince Albert Police Service.
The man will be in court later today.
