On Thursday, March 12, 2020, the Saskatoon Police Service, Major Crime Section arrested and subsequently charged a man in connection with the death of 28-year-old Allison Moosehunter (Witchekan).
The accused, a 29-year-old man, is facing charges of Second Degree Murder and offer an indignity to human remains, and will make his first court appearance Monday morning. (Court Info # 991124316)
On March 4, 2020 officers were called to an address in the 500 block of Geary Crescent. When they arrived they located Allison Moosehunter (Witchekan) deceased inside the residence.
An autopsy was completed and Allison Moosehunter’s death was confirmed to be a homicide. The cause of death is not being released at this time.
The victim and accused were known to each.
The Saskatoon Police Service is no longer looking for assistance in locating the 29-year-old man mentioned in our March 5th media release.

The Saskatoon Police Major Crimes Section is requesting assistance in locating 29 year old Ivan "Roberto" Martell.
Investigators believe that Roberto is known to the victim and may be able to provide valuable information with respect to the investigation.
Roberto is 5' 9" tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has brown eyes and a brush cut hair style or shaved head. He has a mole on his face (left cheek), and tattoo's of a crown and a Latin phrase on his neck.
Anyone who knows Roberto are asked to contact him and let him know to contact the Police. Furthermore, anyone with information on the whereabouts of Roberto, or this incident, are asked to call the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300 and ask to speak to an investigator in Major Crimes or Call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
The victims vehicle has been located abandoned in the northwest area of the city.
Police wish to thank the public and media for their assistance.
The investigation is continuing.

Saskatoon Police were called to a residence in the 500 block of Geary Crescent yesterday afternoon at approximately 12:20 p.m. There they located a 28 year old female who was deceased in her home. The victim's death is being ruled a homicide.
SPS Patrol along with Investigators from Major Crimes and Forensic Identification continue to investigate this incident.
Police at this time are asking the public for assistance in locating the whereabouts of the victim's vehicle. It is grey 2017 Jeep Patriot with personalized Sask license plate 4EVERL8. If this vehicle is located, members of the public are asked to immediately contact the police and to not approach it.
Police are asking anyone that may have information regarding this incident to call the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300 and ask to speak to an investigator in Major Crimes or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Further information will be released when it becomes available.
This death is the city’s 3rd homicide in 2020.
