Four people were arrested following a drug investigation involving officers being shot at.
Detectives with the Drug Unit began an investigation involving various addresses, after observing activity consistent with drug trafficking. On March 10, 2020, Police executed three search warrants at three separate residences.
- 100 block of Edinburgh Place
- 200 block of Evergreen Square
- 700 block of Hart Road
Members of the Tactical Support Unit assisted in executing a search warrant at the residence on Edinburgh Place. As members were attempting to gain entry through a door, a round was discharged from a firearm inside, toward the door. No one was injured. A loaded hand gun was located and seized after entry was made.
Officers located and seized 76g of fentanyl, 80g of powder cocaine and 145g of crack cocaine. Investigators also found various items consistent with drug trafficking such as scales, cutting agents and packaging.
A 36 year old Saskatoon man, a 34 year old Edmonton man, a 22 year old Edmonton man and a 15 year old male from Toronto have each been charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Further charges are pending as the investigation continues.
