Eleven people have been arrested following a search warrant and a drug investigation yesterday.
On March 12th 2020, at approximately 8:15 p.m., a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 400 block of Queen Street by members of the Drug Unit, Tactical Support Unit, and patrol. Six people were taken into custody upon exiting the residence. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of: a loaded modified shotgun, ammunition, pellet pistol, machetes, .22 cal ammunition and a crossbow.
A 28 year old Saskatoon female is facing 10 Criminal Code charges for weapons and firearm offences. She was also found to be wanted for outstanding Criminal Code warrants.
Prior to the execution of the warrant, three people were arrested after exiting the residence, and a small amount of fentanyl pills and crystal methamphetamine were seized. A 27 year old male, 37 year old female and an 18 year old female are facing drug charges.
Also prior to the execution of the warrant, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle that had left the residence, and two males were arrested. A 29 year old Saskatoon man is facing 24 weapons and firearms charges. He was also found to be wanted on 9 outstanding Criminal Code warrants. Inside the vehicle police seized: crystal methamphetamine, bear spray, brass knuckles, and a loaded sawed-off shotgun with ammunition.
Of the eleven people arrested, five people were released without charges.
