Five people are facing charges in connection with a shooting that occurred on Saturday.
Two women, agest 19 and 24, and three men ages 23, 28 and 31 are facing more than 40 charges including aggravated assault and break and enter. The victim, a 33 year old man is being treated in hospital for life threatening injuries.
The shooting occurred at a hotel in the 600 block of Idylwyld Drive North at approximately 5:30 p.m., March 21, 2020. An off-duty officer was in the area and witness several people fleeing the scene on foot. Shortly afterward, several people were located in a home in the 200 block of 26th Street West and arrested. It is believed the victim and suspects are known to each other.

Further to the investigation on Idywyld Dr, there was a second location in the 200 block of 26th Street W. That location has now been cleared and there is no threat to public safety. Thank you to the public for their cooperation at this second scene.
The investigation continues.
Saskatoon Police are currently investigating a shooting that took place in the 600 block of Idywyld Dr. At around 4:50 pm Saskatoon Police Service received a report of someone being shot. The victim a 33 year old male was transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
Investigators are on scene and information will be updated once it becomes available.
