Traffic restrictions are no longer in place after a 70-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle earlier this afternoon.
While being transported to hospital by Medavie Health Services West, it was determined that the woman did not require additional treatment in hospital. As a result, the Collision Analyst Unit did not attend to the scene, and traffic restrictions were lifted.
The driver of the vehicle was issued a ticket for Failing to Yield.
Saskatoon Police are currently at the scene of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.
At approximately 2:15 p.m., March 25, 2020, Police were called to the intersection of Preston Avenue and Louise Avenue after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
The pedestrian, a 70-year-old woman, was transported to hospital as a precaution.
As the Collision Analyst Unit continues to investigate, traffic restrictions will be in place on Preston Avenue. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route.
