Members of the Saskatoon Police Service Drug Unit have arrested three people following an investigation into cocaine trafficking in Saskatoon and area.
During the course of the investigation officers witnessed and gathered evidence of a series of transactions consistent with drug trafficking, On March 31, 2020 Investigators stopped a Mitsubishi RVR in Delisle, Saskatchewan. Two women, ages 35 and 21 were arrested. The 35 year old woman was found to be in possession of two packages of cocaine, weighing 2.1 grams. The 21 year old driver of the vehicle was in possession of approximately $1600 in cash.
Three search warrants were executed as part of the investigation. At a residence in the 400 block of Central Avenue officers located; 1.5 grams of cocaine, 1.8 grams of psilocybin and drug paraphernalia. The search of a residence in the 200 block of Willis Crescent resulted in officers locating; 129 grams of cocaine, 826 grams of cutting agent, a cocaine press, $2600 in cash, a conducted energy weapon, and brass knuckles. The search of the third location, a storage locker, did not result in officers locating evidence.
The 21 year old woman is facing seven charges including Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of the Proceeds of Crime, and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.
A 22 year old man is also facing charges including Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of the Proceeds of Crime, and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon.
The 35 year old woman is facing a charge of Possession of Cocaine.
