A 36 year old man and a 27 year old woman are facing charges following a break and enter to a business and the theft of a vehicle.
On February 3, 2020, at approximately 1:15 p.m., a Patrol Officer spotted a blue Chevrolet Silverado matching the description of a vehicle which had been stolen from a break in to a business in the 300 block of Spadina Crescent the day before. The officer turned around and attempted to locate the vehicle which was being operated by a man and a woman. Shortly after he witnessed two people who looked very similar, on foot, in an alley in the 400 block of Avenue T South. He stopped them and upon searching the man the officer located two syringes loaded with what appeared to be methamphetamine. A baggie with methamphetamine was also located. In addition, the officer located registration papers for the stolen truck and a laptop also stolen from the business inside a bag being carried by the woman.
The man is now facing a charge of Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000 and Possession of Methamphetamine. The woman is facing charges of Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000 and Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000 (x2).
