A Saskatoon man is in custody after Police located a sawed-off shot gun in a backpack yesterday.
At 5:00 p.m. on February 4, 2020, members of the Guns and Gangs Unit observed a person of interest in a vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of 32nd Street West. Three people were located inside of the vehicle, one of them being a 26 year old man in possession of a backpack. Inside of the backpack, officers located a loaded, sawed-off shotgun. The man was arrested without incident. Additional ammunition and stolen identity documents were also located on his person.
The 26 year old man is facing 10 firearm-related offences as well as Possession of Stolen Property under $5000 and Breach of Probation.
