Traffic restrictions have been lifted at the scene of an earlier suspicious package downtown.
Shortly before 12:00 p.m., September 28, 2021, Police responded to a complaint of a suspicious package. The SPS Explosive Disposal Unit, along with Patrol, attended. Upon further investigation, it was determined the package, a toolbox, did not contain anything hazardous or dangerous.
Police wish to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the investigation was ongoing.

The Saskatoon Police Service is currently investigating a suspicious package in the 200 Block of 21st Street East.
Just before 12:00 p.m. on September 28th, Police received a call regarding a suspicious package located in a building in the area. Members of the Explosive Disposal Unit have responded to the scene and continue to investigate alongside Patrol Officers.
People are advised to avoid the area as officers have closed down portions of the block.
