Saskatoon Police have arrested and charged a 37-year-old woman in relation to a death from July of last year.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., July 8, 2020, police responded to a report of an unresponsive two-year-old at an apartment in the 100 block of Avenue T South. The boy was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Following an autopsy and a lengthy investigation that involved the SPS Child Abuse Unit and the Ministry of Social Services, as well as consultation with medical professionals and Crown Prosecutors, the SPS Major Crime Section has charged a 37-year-old woman with second degree murder.
