Update - Two Injured - 2700 Block Main St. East

A 25-year-old man has been charged with Second Degree Murder in connection to a stabbing that occurred on February 20, 2022.

Police responded to the 2700 block of Main Street East and located two persons suffering from stab wounds. The 25-year-old woman, identified as Emily Sanche, succumbed to her injuries. 

The accused, who was known to the victim, was previously charged with Aggravated Assault but following the woman's death and subsequent investigation, the charge was upgraded. He will appear in Provincial Court on April 12, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. (Court Info # 991193070)

 

 

A stabbing which occurred on February 20, 2022 in the 2700 block of Main Street East has resulted in the death of the 25 year old female victim. The incident is now being investigated as a homicide. Investigators believe there is no threat to public safety. This is Saskatoon's third homicide of the year.

Members of the Serious Assault Unit are investigating following two stabbings that happened over the weekend.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., February 20, 2022, Police were called to a residence in the 2700 block of Main Street East.  Inside, officers located a 25 year old woman and a 25 year old man suffering from stab wounds.  Injuries to the woman were life-threatening.  They were then transported to hospital where they are receiving treatment.
