Arrest Made In Connection To 2017 Homicide

The accused ages are 23 and 26 years respectively.

Additional arrests have been made in connection with the 2017 homicide of Tyler Owen Morin. 

A 19-year-old man has been arrested by Wadena RCMP and a 21 year old man was taken into custody by Regina Police Service.  The arrests were made on May 5, 2022.  Both are facing charges of 1st degree murder. 

They will been seen by a Justice of the Peace this evening and are expected to appear in court on Monday, May 9, 2022.

The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section has arrested a 22-year-old man in connection to a 2017 homicide.

On November 4th, 2017 at around 6:15 a.m. Tyler Owen Morin was shot in a residence in the 200 block of Avenue V South. He died as a result of his injuries on November 11th, 2017. After continued investigation by the Major Crime Section, a 22-year-old man who was already in custody, due to an unrelated matter, was arrested today in Prince Albert. He will make his first court appearance tomorrow morning.

The 22-year-old is charged with 1st Degree Murder.
