The Saskatoon Police Service’s Collision Analyst Unit has concluded at the scene of a fatal motorcycle collision near the Traffic Bridge.
Shortly after 6:00 p.m. on May 11, 2022, police responded to reports of a single motorcycle collision in the area of the Traffic Bridge and Victoria Avenue. Upon police arrival, the 31-year-old male motorcycle operator was observed to have sustained life-threatening injuries; he was later transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Next of kin notifications have been completed and police will not be releasing the deceased’s name.
Impairment is not believed to be a contributing factor; however, investigators with the Collision Analyst Unit have determined that the operator was travelling at a high rate of speed when the collision occurred.
The area is now reopened to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Police wish to thank members of the public for accommodating closures while the investigation took place.

At this time, both vehicle and pedestrian traffic is fully restricted in both directions. An update will be provided upon removal of these restrictions.
