On July 18, 2022 at approximately 10:20 a.m., the 53-year-old subject of a missing persons investigation, Nuzhat Tabassum, was located deceased in Hyde Park; this follows an earlier release of information that human remains were located in the area. An autopsy was performed by the Saskatchewan Coroners Service on the morning of July 19, 2022 and police do not believe the death to be suspicious. Next of kin notifications have been completed.
Police wish to thank the Saskatoon Fire Department, Saskatoon Search and Rescue, and members of the public and media for their assistance in this investigation.

Saskatoon Police and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service are investigating following the discovery of human remains in a Saskatoon park this morning.
At approximately 10:20 a.m., July 18, 2022, Police were called to Hyde Park where a passerby had reportedly located the remains. At this time, Police and the Coroner are attempting to identify the individual and determine the circumstances of death.
There is no concern for public safety. Further information will be released when it becomes available.
